We invite your feedback so that we may know how we are doing, and what we can do to improve. We take this very seriously.
Product Feedback: Everyone wants to know how others experienced an item. Your feedback provides useful information for others with similar concerns. We value your comments and understand the desire for privacy. Any comments sent to us are with the understanding they may be posted, but unless told otherwise, we use only first names and location when publishing comments.

Gift Service
We are happy to help you with a gift. You can customize a gift by selecting the items you wish to include and we will assemble them for you in a simple box or with a little extra panache within the shipping box.

Payment Options & Security of Information
Abbey St. Clare accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards. We use PayPal Merchant Services to process our payments due to their intense security program. All orders placed on this website are encrypted, thereby protecting any credit card information that is submitted at the time of the order. We do not have access to your encrypted information with orders placed online. We are also able to process cc orders individually with information you supply to us, or use a PayPal transfer. Once entered into the system, we delete and shred the original data. We are unable to routinely accept phone orders at this time. Subsequent special orders can be processed manually with the stored information.
In the event your credit card is declined, you will be notified immediately by the cc processing service and asked to resubmit your number. Most cards are declined due to a typing error when entering information. Resubmitting corrected information usually solves the problem.
Philanthropy
Harrington House is dedicated to the mission of helping others. Abbey St. Clare is dedicated to the memory of Brother Thomas, OFM, Cap., Margaret’s uncle, who was a Franciscan monk for fifty years. (St. Clare, friend of St. Francis of Assisi, left a life of wealth to found the first Franciscan convent.) His unselfish dedication to a life of prayer and service to others is a daily source of inspiration. Brother Thomas had special compassion for those who came to request food at the door of the friary. To honor his memory, Harrington House gives a percentage of all sales to support programs to feed the hungry sponsored by the Franciscans, as well as providing soap and toiletry products to charities.
Sales Tax
Abbey St. Clare must charge a 5% sales tax on the total amount for orders shipped within Virginia.
Sampling Service
We encourage you to sample any product of interest, but especially if you experience sensitivity problems. Samples are not large but allow several applications. Samples are assembled as needed (we charge because they are surprisingly labor intensive), but they are invaluable for testing color shades as well as determining compatibility with your skin. We are generous and always provide additional samples, as well as including them with every order. They are not intended to replace a full size product and we ask your cooperation in resisting requests for large quantities of single items.
