Heat and Shipping
It is a delicate balancing act. Heat is not a friend to the stability of cream and serums. Long hours in a hot postal truck during the shipping process can break down the bonds which hold the emulsions together. Products from large companies are less subject to this because they are made with a long list of chemical additives whose sole purpose is to provide a smooth and creamy product. Our goal is to provide you with highly effective products with a minimum of petroleum and synthetic additives, but one of the side effects of this that the products are more sensitive to disruptions in temperature. It is a delicate balancing act. During the heat of summer we ship creams and serums with a cold pack to minimize the effects of heat. Even with this precaution, products can change character. The most common problem is some separation of components. Be assured that if this occurs, it does not in any way diminish the effectiveness of the skin care actives. Just shaking the jar or bottle is often enough to remix the potion. Refrigeration can be helpful with creams. Occasionally, shampoos are subject to heat and a simple shaking of the bottle is enough to put all the ingredients back together. Natural products are subject to natural processes and we continually strive to improve. Your feedback is essential.
